Highway Improvements: “Highway 28 is crucial to both a healthy Alexandria International Airport and a stable Fort Polk. In the last transportation bill, the federal government earmarked 20 million for improvements to Highway 28, now let me go to Baton Rouge and fight for the remaining funds to complete this vital project.”
Reducing the “Brain Drain:” “Every progressive society has an active young professional community. I feel that my current board position with the CENLA Young Professionals allows me to be in the best arena for such discussions. I want to work with my fellow young professionals to excite this age group to reach its full potential.”
Education: “We need the best and the brightest teaching our future leaders. To ensure that we obtain our potential, we cannot stop at raising teacher pay to the southern average… let’s reach the national average.”
Health Care: “Let’s spend our money intelligently so that the health care dollar follows the patient to his/her doctor instead of just continually throwing money into a broken system.”
